GPS receivers are categorized into different kinds by its purposes, rate of recurrence and channel.
A. Through Purposes
1. Aviation GPS NAVIGATION receiver: It is mainly employed in aviation of moving providers. It tells locations and speed of the moving carrier in real time. Measured psychologically with C/A number, so its single setting is less precise that is about +-25 MM. If suffering from SA, the differences could be +-100 MM. The form of GPS receivers is less expensive and widely used in numerous industries.
2. Ground GPS receiver: It is mainly employed in precise ground and executive measurement. It uses the worthiness of carrier phase to make sure you measure the relative standing, so the result is without a doubt precise. The receiver is built complicatedly, so the price tag is highers.
3. Period transfer GPS receiver: This transfer time by remarkably precise satellite. It is often used in the the particular observatory and wireless communication.
B. By Frequency
1. Single-channel GPS NAVIGATION receiver: It only obtains signal of L1 insurance company wave and positions simply by value of carrier phase. It can't eliminate your affect of ionosphere holdup, so it is merely applicable for precision position of ultra short base line below 15 KM.
2. Double-channel GPS NAVIGATION receiver: It can get carrier signals of together L1 and L2. Using its differences to ionosphere delays, the delay of electromagnetic wave signal brought on by ionosphere can be eradicated. Therefore, it can provide in precision position for tens of thousands of kilometers.
C. By Channels: GPS receivers can receives signals transmitted from multiple GPS satellites simultaneously. It uses antenna singal channel to split up the signals received together with track, handle and evaluate individual satellite. The channels are divided into multi-channel wr, serial channel receiver along with multi-channel receiver.
